Pipeline Supervisor

Scope of Responsibilities:
Manage and supervises the piping activities at the site on a day-to-day basis and is responsible for the piping activity as per plan and layout. Establishes and maintains timely completion of piping activities as per project schedule.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Post survey completion by Surveyor provide access for ROW (Right Of Way) for the piping activity.


  • Plan and supervise all activities for trenching by proper allocation of resources.


  • Plan and supervise all activities for stringing of pipes before welding starts.


  • Supervise the welding activity of pipes to ensure that work is completed on time with all quality and safety requirements met as per procedure.


  • Prepare the welding report and RFI (Request For Inspection) which needs to be sent to QC before initiating inspection.


  • Supervise the painting/ coating activity of the welded pipes to prevent damage/ corrosion of the welded pipes.


  • Conduct pre holiday tests on pipes before lowering the pipes in the trench.


  • Before lowering the pipe in trench supervise cleanliness of trench and ensure inspection of sand pillow by QC.


  • While lowering of pipes conduct holiday tests to check any damage to the pipe.


  • Conduct air pigging as a final cleaning exercise of the pipe.


  • Prepare daily progress reports for review by the Piping Superintendent.


  • Prepare lowering report indicating specifications of the pipe which needs to be submitted to the QC department.


  • Carry out any other duties as and when required by the supervisor.

Qualification:
Degree / Diploma in Engineering with a minimum experience of 12 years
