HSE Training officer

Scope of Responsibilities:
Responsible for all training activities for Health Safety and Environment requirements including module development, delivery and evaluation of programs

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Project HSE Co-coordinator, to design and implement the training modules, specifically course programme and content.


  • Draft objectives, write trainer briefs, produce course materials including exercises and handouts, learning logs, etc in line with the project HSE requirements.


  • Run and deliver training courses both on and off-site, ensuring all pre-course preparation is carried out effectively and efficiently, environment and facilities meet required standard, end of course questionnaires completed, etc


  • Participate in the evaluation of individual courses and the project as a whole by providing information and basic statistics as required, writing reports, and developing an evaluation strategy.


  • Participate in the development and implementation of the scheme; undergo necessary training to enable assessments to take place.


  • Attend meetings if required; provide information and reports; undertake action rising from them.


  • Keep up to date with new developments in training practice and policy, undertake necessary training to ensure training and facilitation skills are to standard required.


  • Participate in ensuring that the HSE training project is promoted efficiently and effectively, including drafting project literature, making presentations.


  • Carry out any other duties as and when directed by the supervisor.

Qualification:
A bachelors degree with a minimum of 12 years relevant experience in health, safety & environmental discipline with appropriate qualifications.
